Stackers
A stacker, also known as an electric stacker, is an electrically powered device that resembles an electric pallet truck but is equipped with a lift mast and fixed forks. It is ideal for transporting and lifting Euro-pallets, with the load positioned above the drive arms. This makes the machine compact and maneuverable compared to a forklift.
Important Types of Stackers:
Standard Versions:
Features: Operated while walking with forks of 1150 x 560 mm.
Capacity: Suitable for handling Euro-pallets.
Lift Height: Up to a maximum of 5.5 meters.
Travel Speed: Up to 6 km/h.
Stackers with Foldable Platform:
Features: Equipped with a foldable platform; with the platform down, travel speeds can reach up to approximately 10 km/h.
Capacity: Suitable for Euro-pallets.
Use: Ideal for situations where the platform is not continuously needed and increased speed is desired.
Stackers for Standing Operator:
Features: Equipped with forks of 1150 x 560 mm, with lift heights up to a maximum of 7 meters.
Capacity: Often equipped with (hydraulic) side stabilizers for higher residual load capacity.
Aisle Width: Suitable for narrow aisles of approximately 235 cm.
Use: Suitable for a combination of transporting and order picking. The operator can easily "walk in and out of the truck."
Stackers with Seat:
Features: Designed for transporting Euro-pallets over longer distances with a seat for the operator.
Ergonomics: The transverse seating position is more ergonomic than in a forklift.
Advantage: More cost-effective and compact compared to a reach truck. For example, the ATLET XLL.
Counterweight Stackers:
Features: Equipped with a counterweight and free-floating forks.
Advantage: Can handle a wide range of loads.
Disadvantage: The machine is often longer than a standard stacker.
Wide-Aisle Stackers:
Features: Have free-floating forks and the drive arms wrap around the pallet, similar to a reach truck.
Disadvantage: Goods cannot be placed tightly next to each other due to the presence of the drive arms. For example, Linde AS.
Straddle Lift:
Features: Equipped with lifting drive arms, allowing the stacker to pick up pallets and transport them over small uneven surfaces
Double-Stock Stackers:
Features: Can transport two pallets at once, one on the forks and one on the drive legs.
Advantage: Increases productivity over longer distances and is suitable for loading double-deck trailers.
Stainless Steel and Galvanized Stackers:
Features Designed for use in the food industry and other demanding environments. Examples include ULMA and Armanni.
This variety of stackers provides solutions for different logistical needs, from working in narrow aisles to transporting goods over long distances and working in challenging environments.
